Nestled at 4231 R Martinez St, Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines, this charming restaurant offers not just a meal, but an experience that transports you into a lush, green oasis. With its carefully curated ambiance, featuring sturdy wooden structures and an abundance of greenery, dining here feels akin to indulging in a feast deep within the forest.
As a food reviewer who revels in culinary adventures, I was captivated by the diverse menu, which boasts both traditional and contemporary Filipino dishes. Among the standout items, the cream chicken came highly recommended, and rightfully so; its rich, velvety texture leaves a lasting impression. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing with friends and family, making it an ideal spot for gatherings.
For seafood lovers, the seafood platter is a must-try, featuring an array of fresh catches that are bursting with flavor. I was particularly taken by the buttered tahong, which is complemented by a delectable sauce that elevates the entire dish. The lumpiang shanghai also deserves a mention, serving as an excellent appetizer that sets the tone for what's to come.
During my visit, I couldn't help but notice the Crispy Pata, perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside while tender on the inside. This dish embodied the essence of Filipino dining: rich, comforting, and undeniably delicious. While some dishes, like the grilled pork, had mixed reviews regarding toughness, the overall quality of food remains commendable.

“ Food was exceptional. Really recommend the creamy chicken! While the prices look daunting, the servings are good for sharing. We especially loved the bulalo and the mais con hielo! The architecture and ambience was also exquisite—plenty of greenery and sturdy wood. It's really like eating inside a forest. My only negative comment, however is that the Koi are in such a filthy and unhealthy environment! Please clean the waterfall pond :( The koi are sick and have bulging eyes... this is an indication of poor water quality for the fish. Please filter and clean the water. :( ”
“ Yummy fooooods . Nice and quiet place to eat with family. Green is good, lively ambiance . ”
“ My friends and I went here after our Nasugbu trilogy hike. We were surprised by how large the property is, the lush greens, well maintained landscape, and the entire dining area. The food is awesome, from the seafood platter, buttered tahong and its sauce - this definitely standout, lumpian shanghai that is good as an appetizer. The only bad side is the tough grilled pork, it is tolerable but can be improved further. The staffs are attentive and nice. The washroom and toilet are really clean! The interior is perfectly cozy, feels like you are dining in someone else's villa. The experience is great , they have plenty of parking and they accept credit cards. ”
“ We had such a wonderful time at Kainan sa Dalampasigan! I went with my family and it turned into such a memorable feast. The food was absolutely delicious—our table was filled with so many favorites! The Crispy Pata was perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside yet tender inside, while the shrimp dishes were fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. We also enjoyed their grilled specialties and classic Filipino comfort food—every single dish was a hit and nothing went to waste. While waiting for the food, we had fun exploring the place since there are plenty of photo-worthy spots to enjoy. The atmosphere adds so much charm—it’s cozy, festive, and perfect for family gatherings. Between the amazing food, the generous servings, and the beautiful surroundings, this is definitely a restaurant I’d love to go back to again and again! ”
“ The restaurant has done well in preserving its classic and legendary ambiance, which has made it by far the most iconic dining establishment in Nasugbu. Food quality is still good but not the same as it was before, and a tad more expensive. Overall, it's still my most recommended local resto in the town especially for those who are interested in the classic Nasugbu dining experience ”
